Hey.
I am looking for a nice hood to live in south of the city, anywhere on the peninsular, as far down as Palo Alto, as i don't wanna deal with SF rents or weather! I would also like somewhere to park my convertible without having to fight for space or worry about it getting broken into. I really wanna be in a nice safe hood, without the daily fog and cloud, and as close to SF as poss in style....you know, nice bars, a bohemian ish vibe - i just don't wanna live in suburbia.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Re: neighborhood recommendations please?
Sat, October 6, 2007 - 11:43 PMThere isn't really any such beast. It's why SF is so popular.
At best, Palo Alto has a college atmosphere going for it, but it's also a rich college town, with a high percentage of yuppies and business people.
I can't speak of north of Palo Alto, really, but I've made occasional forays up in the area, and I think you're doomed to disappointment.

Sun, December 2, 2007 - 9:27 PMBest would be to go on down to Santa Cruz. :)
Of course, that is south of Palo Alto.
Redwood City has a bit of something going for it
I guess. Some character at least, and its north
of Palo Alto.
